Tin Leg policies include Hurricane and Weather coverage under the Trip Cancellation benefit. To be eligible for this coverage, you must purchase the policy before the hurricane is named. Hurricane and Weather coverage can cover you to cancel your trip as long as it is due to a covered reason, such as a delay, damage to your accommodations, or a mandatory evacuation. The delay of a common carrier, such as an airline or cruise, due to a hurricane is a covered reason to cancel a trip. Updated: 4/27/2015 On Saturday, April 25th, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Nepal, sending tremors through India, Bangladesh, Tibet, and on Mount Everest. All Tin Leg policies offer Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage for earthquakes under the Hurricane and Weather benefits. Released: 7/31/2014 The National Hurricane Center issued an advisory for tropical storm Bertha on Thursday July 31st, 2014. It is the second named Atlantic storm of the year. Any Tin Leg plans purchased on or after Thursday, July 31st, 2014, will not cover any losses related to Bertha.
